Contract research

Spinsplit provides contract research and development services in nanotechnology, specializing in polymer nanofibers and nanofiber-based nanocomposites, while also supporting a broader range of advanced nanomaterial projects. Spinsplit is committed to advancing your nanotechnology initiatives through research, open collaboration, and reliable delivery at every stage.

Our Research Collaboration Framework

Contract research collaborations are set up through the following stages:

Preparation stage

  • Define project objectives, scope, and timeline in close consultation with the partner.
  • Spinsplit issues an indicative offer outlining the proposed approach and estimated costs.

Contracting stage

  • Establish a Collaboration Framework Agreement (CFA) to formalize the partnership.
  • Develop the initial Statement of Work (SoW), specifying deliverables, milestones, and payment terms.

Work stage (consists of several Phases)

  • Partners may provide essential Company deliverables or background information as needed.
  • Bi-weekly Situation Report (SitRep) meetings are held online to review progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment.

Delivery

  • Conduct a progress meeting (online or in-person) to present interim or final results.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports and material samples as specified in the SoW.
  • Upon partner acceptance of deliverables, Spinsplit issues the corresponding invoice.
  • Both parties mutually agree on the scope and objectives of any subsequent project phase.

Why Choose Spinsplit?

  • 10 years expertise in Nanofiber Technologies: Our team leverages advanced fabrication techniques, such as electrospinning and nanocomposite engineering, to deliver innovative solutions tailored to diverse applications, including pharmaceutical, biomedical, and industrial sectors.
  • Comprehensive Characterization: We employ state-of-the-art analytical and performance testing protocols to ensure that all materials meet agreed technical specifications.
  • Flexible, Transparent Collaboration: Each phase is designed for clear communication, milestone tracking, and joint decision-making.

Spinsplit partners with clients through a phased, milestone-driven approach to nanotechnology development. Each phase includes collaborative gate reviews to ensure alignment before advancing.

Phase I: Proof of Concept (PoC) Evaluation
The objective of the phase is to validate technical feasibility of the proposed nanotechnology.
Key Deliverables:

  • Technical Feasibility Report: Detailed analysis of material properties, scalability challenges, and risk assessment.
  • Phase II-III Roadmap: Clear specifications, success criteria, and resource requirements for development.

Decision Point: Joint review to approve progression to Phase II or propose alternative pathways.

Phase II: Nanotechnology Development
Structured into two sub-phases to ensure robust outcomes:

Stage IIa: Innovative Concept

Key Deliverables:

  • Process Optimization: Tailored synthesis protocols for stability, yield, and reproducibility.
  • Analytical Framework: Customized testing methods (e.g., SEM, FTIR, mechanical stress assays).
  • Performance Validation: Bench-scale prototypes tested against client-defined KPIs.
  • Demonstration Samples: 3-5 batches for client-side functional testing (e.g., in-product integration).

Stage IIb: Pilot Production and Testing

Key Deliverables:

  • Quality-Assured Pilot Batches: Scalable manufacturing of batches meeting pre-agreed standards.
Decision Point: Joint sign-off on mass production readiness.

Phase III: Manufacturing Support
Spinsplit facilitates seamless handover to contract nanofiber manufacturers, offering:

Key Deliverables:

  • Tech Transfer Packages: SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and staff training.
  • Quality Oversight: Batch auditing and continuous process improvement support.
