How Can We Help?
Using the Timeline
The Historical Data panel’s Timeline allows you to freely choose which part of your measurement you want on the graph. Zoom in and analize key parts of your data easily using this tool. In the following guide you will find all you need to know about how to use the Timeline tool.
- When you have a record selected (1), the Timeline will be set to show its time window. You will find the Timeline (2) under the display graph.
- On the Timeline tool you can find two cursors: one green (3) indicating the start point of the dataset displayed on the graph, and one red (4) indicating the end of it.
- By default, the cursors are set to the start and end of the whole measurement, thus the display will show all the data accumulated on a channel during the record. If you want to quickly zoom in on a part of the displayed data you can use the display graph’s Zoom function (5) as well. This is a useful tool to determine where to move the start and end cursors of the Timeline as well.
- The Timeline’s Cursor function (6) allows you to move the start and end cursors on the graph. Move the green start cursor to the beginning of the data part you want to display, and the red end cursor to the end of the data set.
- If you want to set a more precise start and end location, move the cursors in the general vicinity of your chosen time point. Use the Timeline’s Zoom function (7) and enlarge that area. Switch back to the cursor tool and move the cursor to the exact location of your preference. You can use the zoom function again to set the view to the original size with one click.
- Click on the Refresh Display button (8) to apply your new settings. The graph will show the data between the two specified points in time.
