Getting started with Historical Data View

To browse previous measurements’ data, navigate to the Data History using the Menu. Note that Data History is disabled while you are recording an ongoing measurement. If you want to monitor your data in real time, see the article Display online data.

  1. Go to Data History (1) in the Menu bar.
  2. The Data History panel contains the following elements and functions:
  • Display the selected data set on the graph (D1). To be able to display your data on the graph you have to specify the date and measurement of your choice as well as a sensor channel.
  • Select a day with the calendar control (D7) to browse through your measurement data from that day. The dates where you have measurement data stored are highlighted with yellow.
  • The Timeline (D5) auto-adjusts to show every measurements’ time window on that day, and the Records list (D2) will show the names of the records taken on the selected date.
  • Select a measurement from the chosen date under the Records list (D2).
  • When you click on a Record in the list, the Channels (D3) and Events (D4) lists will show the contents of the selected measurement, and the Timeline (D5) will adjust to the time window of the record.
  • Navigate to the Channels list (D3) and choose which sensor’s data you wish to display.
  • This enables the Refresh Display button (D6). Click the button to display the entirety of the chosen channel’s data or you can further customize your settings. If you modify your selection later, you can apply your settings to the graph with this button.
  • You can browse for notable events that happened during the measurement using the Events list (D4). Selected events show up on the Timeline instantly and on the graph display after clicking on the Refresh Display button (D6). For a more detailed description of Events, see the article Displaying events.
  • Use the Timeline (D5) to display only a specific part of the measurement data. Move the green (start) and red (end) cursors on the timeline to specify a time window. For more info on this control see the article Using the Timeline.
  • If you cannot see the record you are looking for on the Records list, you may have to refresh the list with the Refresh button (D8).
  • You can add up to two additional Data History windows to the panel using the Add New Window button (D9). The windows each act as separate Data History modules and you can view different channels or even different measurements on them. See the article Adding plots.
