Rotational Drum Collector – First Time Installation

This article is a step-by-step guide to install the rotational drum collector for the first time. Before starting, make sure that system components are properly connected and grounded.

Note: for notations like ‘F21’ please refer to Overview of system components.

Connecting the dedicated power supply adapter to the chamber:

1. Turn off the spincube system.
2. Find the IoT box (F21) at the backside of the spincube chamber. Locate the 12 V power supply connector (F6) at the bottom side of the IoT box.
3. The connector (F6) to be attached to is marked with red color in the picture below.
   

   

   F2: spincube power connector; F3: RJ-45 LAN connector; F4: USB-A connector; F6: power inlet for the collector

   
   CAUTION! Make sure to use the supplied power supply adapter for the rotating drum collector with 12V output. Some other instruments may have similar connectors but with different voltage levels! Connecting the wrong power supply adapter will result in permanent damage!

4. Plug the DC-jack connector of the power supply adapter (4A), that was shipped along with the rotating drum collector, into the power inlet (F6) on the IoT box.
   
5. Finally connect the power supply adapter to a wall socket.
