Turn on Remote Mode

To be able to set the voltage of the spincube power module from spinstudio, you have to enable remote control of the module in a two-step authentication fashion.

1. Switch the Enable remote control to on (marked as 1 below) on the power module settings page in the spinstudio and you will hear a beep sound from the module to confirm the request.
   
2. Find the B5 Remote control button on the physical front panel of the power supply module. Press and hold the button until you hear another beep sound that confirms the remote mode setting.

You now have enabled the remote control mode of the power module. There are a number of operations available for you in the spinstudio to remotely control the module.

• You can set the upper limit of the voltage supplied by the high voltage module between 0-40 kV on the Settings page of the power module.
• You can set the actual voltage output of the module on the Dashboard control of the spincube power. The previous voltage setting remains valid after turning on the remote mode until you change the voltage in the spinstudio or at the module.
• You can turn on the spincube chamber light on the Dashboard as well.

The high voltage output of the spincube power cannot be activated remotely for safety reasons. High voltage can only be turned on locally by pressing and holding the B2 High voltage on button for at least 2 seconds as described in the article Activating/deactivating High Voltage.
